Feeling of Failing

The feeling of your heart caving into your chest because you feel like you failed; what are you going to do about it? Are you going to sit on the the couch, flip through your cable that can be turned off any day now while filling your stomach with junk? Are you going to browse the Internet for jobs and convince yourself that you don't qualify for any of the positions? What are you going to do?

What am I going to do about it? The feeling of failure is just a feeling that passes through your system. The determined length is based on self. How long are you going to convince yourself that you don't measure up to your personal purpose in life? Our polluted minds have the tendency to want what the next person has. We are our own person! We are our own person! We are our own person so the next person's standards are not our own. What the next person has does not mean that we need to have it. We need to have what is necessary at the moment.

If I want a new shirt and shoes so I can go to a concert later on tonight, i need some extra money from somewhere. I don't know where I'm going to get the extra money so I call my phone company to make payment arrangements on my account. Where are my priorities? What if my phone gets turned off and I'm waiting for a job offer but my number is unreachable because I couldn't sacrifice one night of partying to pay my bill? Where are my priorities? I'm not available for that job offer when they tried to reach me so I receive a letter saying, "Thank you for you interest but we filled the position." I sit on the couch, read the letter, throw it on the table and turn on my television. The screen says, "One Moment Please" and I realize my cable is off. I pop in a movie, grab some chips and sit on the couch mellowing in my pitiful sorrows. What did I do to make myself feel like a failure? Where were my priorities?

Our personal success is based on the goals, prioritizing, self-discipline and action. If we are laying around the house thinking about what we need to do in order to be successful, we aren't taking action. Figure out what moves and changes you need to make in life to build your personal, not the next person's, success story and make sure you're proud of it.

Emotional Health

Emotional health is the guide to your feelings. There is the saying,"you're wearing your emotions on your sleeve." Human nature causes us to show our emotions. If we were to hide every sad, angry, depressed emotion from the world, we would end up in a psychiatric ward (in my opinion). I'm not saying that the world needs to know through Facebook, Twitter or any other social network; I'm saying that we all can use someone to talk to. We all need that outlet. Our outlet could be our relative, friend, teacher, psychiatrist, anybody who we feel the most comfortable talking to. Our physical outlet could be exercise, meditation, prayer or anything else for mind clarity. The problem that we encounter is when we try to numb our issues, problems or concerns. Instead of facing difficult time, we want to escape. There is a difference in trying to escape our issues by numbing them and working through our issues by using our outlets.

What is your outlet? Check Spelling

A piece of art;
Picture in a beautiful frame.

An art
that brings joy,

Makes people smile,

Makes people appreciate,

A piece of art
with so much passion.

A piece of heart
with so much joy.

Art
with history.

Art
with a story.

Who is behind this?

Read a Book...

Open a book and read it. We are easily brainwashed by what we watch on television. The reality t.v., talk shows, videos, movies and even news are pure entertainment. News, entertainment? Yes! Why do I want to listen to a half ass story about how people are struggling in our country for two minutes and the next story is coverage on how Lindsy Lohan was arrested once again. Why are we covering her disastrous life (or is it?) when a whole region has been swept away by mother nature. Our minds are so consumed by entertainment and as I observe the people around me, it's like watching the television; pure entertainment.
It's sad to watch people imitate a music video. These are the same people that are trying to make money based on the music that they listen to because it's "motivational" and not entertaining. Now, I'm not talking about ALL music, just mainstream. The music that wins awards. Music on the radio. Rap music being confused with Hip Hop. In my new understanding, rap music is a business but hip hop is a passion. Hip hop developed a culture that has adapted a lifestyle. Hip hop, alternative, rock and poetry..... all fall in that category of being an artist's lifestyle. Rap does not have depth but makes money to grasp your attention of fairy tails turned into reality, like Disney. You love to hear how somebody else is able to wear the fancy clothes, drive the fancy cars, live in the nice homes while you are unaware that they based their business on feeding you bullshit to keep buying, like an addiction. If you would open a book and read it, you would know.

I Believe in Me

I am in a place right now where I have to believe in me. I am the one that has to believe in me. There are a plenty of people around that tell me how they believe in me but there is a handful of people that I BELIEVE, believe in me. They not only tell me but they show me. These people call me, cry with me, laugh with me, listen to me. These people tell me that they love me. They are not afraid to cuss me out with love while we walk in the park or sit in a restaurant having lunch and as we depart, give each other love and kisses goodbye. These are the ones that pump my energy to keep me moving because they help me believe in me.
Then there are the ones that say they believe in me. These are the ones that I looked for to show me support whenever I needed it. These are the ones that I called when I needed a boost but instead, in my weak moment, became the one lifting that person up. These are the ones that never listened to the pain that I wanted to express when I fell weak but watched me fall and talked about me as I helped myself up off of the ground. I can go on and on about the people that were there, watching me, waiting for the time that I did not help myself up. Instead, they laid on the ground while we shared stories of misery. I did not wait. I stood up, broken hearted and ran.
One day I woke up and ran from that person saying how much they believed in me and ran into a group of people who made me feel that they believe in me. Some of these people are ones that I never acknowledge because their hands were blinded by people standing in my way of success. I was deaf to the voices that said, "let me listen to you." I had so many voices in my head telling me stories of guilt, pain, misery instead of joy, love, overcoming life obstacles and most important, God. I have been blessed to say that God has given me the experience to know the difference from different types of people.
I am now surrounded by people that believe in themselves. These are the ones that took time out to get to know who they are as an individual. These are the ones that love themselves but because of self love, they are able to genuinely share love. The love that they share in felt with an enormous amount of strength. I believe in these people because they pushed negativity out of there lives and believed that they are capable to succeed no matter what obstacles stood in their way. They will take nothing less and are a walking inspiration. They are my inspiration because they believe in themselves. They don't have to tell me that they believe in me because they already show it. When I say that I love you, know that I mean it because I believe in myself too much to lie to you. I believe and love me!

Silent Noise

Silent noise is all around me. I hear it as I observe and listen. It is a noise that has been silenced due to voices that do not want to be heard. Silent noise is felt through vibrations that radiate through our world's atmosphere. Silent noise can either make our hearts break or give our heart strength. Silent noise can do both. Silent noise is not heard, it is felt as we all listen to this noise. Silent noise is made by those who fear to be heard. Silent noise is heard by those who listen carefully. Silent noise is weight added to emotional strength that this poet builds from. Silent noise gives strength as I deliver my flo-e-tic sounds to our world.
